A former educator with a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University, Sarena brings a rare combination of people instincts and process discipline to property management. Credentialed by Texas REALTORS® as both a Property Manager and Leasing Specialist, she approaches every tenant placement and lease with one standard: do it right the first time.
Sarena grew up in Northern California and made her way to Texas — where she's stayed ever since. Before real estate, she spent years as a 6th grade reading teacher, and that background shows in everything she does: clear communication, genuine patience, and the ability to explain complicated things simply.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University, and earned her Texas REALTOR® designations as both a Property Manager (TRPM) and Leasing Specialist (TRLS). She is also a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), staying current on industry best practices and market trends in both residential leasing and property management.
Sarena has a sharp eye for market trends and a natural instinct for what owners and tenants both need to feel confident in a transaction. Honest by nature, she doesn't sugarcoat — which is exactly what the people she works with appreciate most.
Outside of work, she's an avid reader — nonfiction, historical fiction, apocalypse fiction, Southern Living, Magnolia — and an active member of the Saginaw Library Boosters, organizing community events to support local library programs for adult and youth literacy.
Sarena specializes in the full leasing cycle — from marketing vacant properties and qualifying applicants to executing leases and managing move-in coordination. She understands that placing the right tenant is the single most important decision in property management, and she treats it that way.

Conducts thorough background, credit, and rental history checks on every applicant.
Markets vacant units, qualifies tenants, and executes leases from start to finish.
Manages all move-in documentation, deposits, and property condition reports.
Conducts routine visits, renewal walkthroughs, and accompanying city rental inspections to keep properties compliant and well-maintained.
Manages all HOA correspondence — notices, violations, and compliance — on behalf of owners.
Handles all lease renewal negotiations to maintain occupancy and protect rental income.
Starlyn has been doing this long enough to know every owner's situation personally, and she treats it that way.
